CAB CALLOWAY SCHOOL of the ARTS

Cab Wins big at State Vex Competition!

Cab and Charter teaming up!

On Saturday March 11th 20 different teams competed in a Vex Robotics Competition at Wesley College for a state tournament. Cab’s Vex Robotics team, consisting of both Cab and Charter students placed first in the state! The winning robot design consisted of picking up 1 foot wide jacks and heavier beanbags, then placing them on the opposing teams side. Students applied mechanical engineering and programming concepts to complete the design. The top 3 teams are invited to go to the Vex World Competition in Louisville Kentucky in mid April.

These students are also part of my TSA Team and will be competing at the TSA state Vex competition in late April.

Students on the team consisted of:

Josh T. (Cab)

Ethan B. (Cab)

Justin S. (Charter)

Fox P. (Charter)

Patrick T. (Charter)

Harry W. (Charter)
