CAB CALLOWAY SCHOOL of the ARTS

Good afternoon parents,

If you have a Cabbie going into 10th, 11th or 12th grade – we have openings in our program (SMArtSummer) between the dates of 6/26 – 8/4. All volunteer hours are recognized by Honor Society and they look great on college applications!

Camp information is available at smartsummer.org.  Please find attached our volunteer forms. If you have any questions please contact Nan at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.

SMArtSummer 2017 –

Volunteers – (1-2 needed per camp, must be in camp all week)

Volunteers must be at least a current 9th grader attending the CSW or

CCSA. Volunteers serve as helpers between the campers and Instructors, act as

role models for the campers, and participate in all camp activities. Counselors do

not have to have experience in the camp they are assigned to, but must serve as

mature yet fun-loving role models for the campers.

Volunteers – Floaters

Floaters assist behind the scenes at camp, helping with volunteer and camper

registration, setting up certain camp activities and more. Floaters may be assigned for a day, an entire weekend or certain hours, based on our needs and the volunteers availability.

Volunteers – Before Camp Duties Include:

Volunteers are needed to supervise students in the library and gym prior to the start of camp with lite activities (help students to log onto the schools computers or play a board game). Volunteers will also supervise students enjoying a “grab and go” breakfast.

Volunteers – After Camp Duties Include: Volunteers can help create an art project,

supervise a game, or supervise other planned age-appropriate activities.

*All volunteers under the age of 18 are welcome to a free “grab & go” breakfast AND a hot lunch provided by the Red Clay Consolidated School District – NutritionServices. (Same type of breakfast and lunch served during the school year)

Thank you! Nan

Thank you,

Nan Stidham
