JULIE RUMSCHLAG

DEAN

Dean Julie A. Rumschlag arrived in 1999 as the leader of our school. She brings with her leadership skills as well as artistic skills. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana, and a Master of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University. She taught in Indiana, California and Delaware prior to becoming a school administrator.She enjoys the arts as a vocalist and flutist. In addition, she has experience in dramatic arts and musical theatre both as a performer and director.

JOE HOCKING

ASSISTANT DEAN

Joe Hocking began his tenure as Assistant Dean at Cab Calloway in 2006. Dr Hocking was the Choral Director at Conrad Middle School from 1991-98 and at Dickinson High School from 1998-2006. Dr. Hocking has prepared choruses for Philadelphia’s Academy of Vocal Arts production of “Hansel and Gretel” and for the Wilmington run of the Broadway tour “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He co-founded and conducted the Brandywine Hundred Choral Society in Wilmington, Delaware from 1998-2002. Prior to relocating to the East Coast, Dr. Hocking served as Choral Director at Midwest City (Oklahoma) High School. Dr. Hocking also served as Assistant Conductor for Oklahoma City’s Canterbury Choral Society and as Assistant to the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Hocking received a Certificate of Administration from Wilmington College, a Master’s Degree and Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree both in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma at Norman and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond. Dr. Hocking resides in Wilmington with his wife Sara and their children, Ellie and Ian.

WILL ROBINSON

ASSISTANT DEAN

Dr. Will Robinson came to Cab Calloway in 2011 having previously worked as Vice Principal at John Dickinson High School. He began his educational experience in Baltimore, Maryland as an elementary special education teacher. In addition to Baltimore schools he has worked for Brandywine School District as a Special Education teacher and East Side Charter School where he served as Leader of the School as well as Executive Director of their associated foundation. He holds a Bachelor in Business and Economics, a Masters in Special Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
