Electronic Devices
All students are expected to comply immediately with any reasonable request made by teachers and/or the administration.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES – OFF AND AWAY DURING THE SCHOOL DAY!
(cell phones, pagers, iPods, CD players, iPhones, etc.)
- Cell phone use is prohibited during the school day. iPods and MP3 Players may be used during lunchtime only.
- Note: Any electronic device may be taken at the discretion of the teacher. If a student refuses to comply with a teacher’s request as outlined below, said student will be referred for defiance which may result in a suspension.
- Unauthorized use of any electronic device will result in the following consequences
- Infraction #1 & 2 – Student will be asked to put the device away or the teacher may confiscate device. The infraction will be entered into the Student’s Discipline Detail for documentation purposes. Parent contact by teacher.
- Third and subsequent infractions – Student will be asked to put the device away or the teacher may confiscate device. The infraction will be entered into Student’s Discipline Detail, an In School Suspension (ISS) will be issued, and parent contacted by main office. Student may be required to turn in device upon entering school for continued non-compliance.
- Students who bring electronic devices to school do so at their own risk. CCSA and/or the RCCSD are not responsible for lost and/or stolen electronic devices and will not investigate the loss or theft of these items.
