High School Vocal Music
- Sing a song from a Broadway show. This can be a verse and a chorus (between 16 and 32 bars of music, approximately) Bring the sheet music (piano music with vocal line as well) for the accompanist to play. Students must sing with the piano. A cappella music is not appropriate for this audition. Memorization is highly encouraged.

- Sing a solo that is a classical piece of music (between 16 and 32 bars of music, approximately). If you are unsure of what is an appropriate classical song, look at the list of songs below. Bring the sheet music (piano music with vocal line as well) with you. A cappella music is not appropriate for this audition. Memorization is highly encouraged.

- You will be asked to sight-sing an eight-measure phrase of music that will be chosen by the instructor. Singers may choose to use solfege syllables or a neutral syllable for the assessment.
- You will be asked to sing back a series of pitches that the instructor will play on the piano.
- You will learn and sing a four-measure phrase that is taught during the assessment.
- You will be asked to identify the note names on both the treble and bass clef.
