Incoming Freshmen Info

Look Into the Future

To: Parents/Guardians of 9th Grade Students ONLY
Re: Student Pictures
Date: August 10, 2010

Dr. Daugherty, Superintendent of the RCCSD, has instructed all district high schools to take a “graduation” photograph of all incoming freshman in a cap, gown and mortarboard. This “Look into the Future” as I am calling it will take place on August 30, the first day of school. We will also take the school picture of all 9th graders at this time. Freshman students should come prepared to take their school picture which will be used for their student ID as well the yearbook. Students will take the school picture first than change into a cap and gown for the “graduation” picture.

Boys should bring a shirt and tie to wear in the “graduation” picture – we will have some shirts (various sizes) and ties available for those who may need them. We will provide the cap, gown and mortarboard as well. Whatever the girls wear for the school picture should be okay for the “graduation” picture. A composite photograph will be made and displayed in our building as an encouragement to our freshman students to stay the course and graduate.

Herff Jones, the company who takes our yearbook pictures, will be assisting us with this project.

Thank you in advance for assuring that your child comes to school on August 30 prepared to have their school picture taken.
